I found a piece of happiness here..the property and the beach front were perfect, secluded beach all to yourself…and maybe the random horse. Very beautiful and relaxing place to stay… also the room service food was a complete bonus…fresh everything!! Can’t bet fresh coffee being delivered to your room in the morning.

The town was nice, the only thing that could be better is the access since part of the road is still not paved yet, but it was in really good condition, I went in a Hyundai Grand i10 2015 Hatchback, and I was able to go to the Ometepe Biological Field Station, El Pital, Ojo de Agua, We also did the Istiam River Kayaking, it was awesome!!!

You should go to Hotel Omaja with your eyes closed; nothing but great things to say about it, an exceptionally pleasant and beautiful place with a peaceful and friendly vibe from the owners, this is a very family-friendly place (I recommend highly for calm and respectful travelers needing a haven of peace and relaxation). This is not a party destination, it's a place to restore and rest and enjoy the breathtaking beauty while enjoying great food and conversation with the owners.

    The view was amazing.

The view was amazing. The road to get there is really bad, advizing you not to rent a scooter to get there, might fall... Very close to the entrance of the natural reserve for the Maderas volcano climbing.

I liked hearing to howler monkeys at the point and the view of sunsets were amazing. Went to dinner at dos mangoes where the service was unwelcoming. We should’ve stayed and had dinner at hospedaje Gloria! It really helps to have an ATV to get here. I wouldn’t want to do it on a scooter.

It is a nature spot, amazing sunsets, San Roman waterfall!

It is a nature spot, amazing sunsets, San Roman waterfall! I would recommend having a motorbike or quad for being in this area as some of the other cool spots are on a bit of a rougher rode. I had a great horseback ride to a viewpoint of the volcano and lake. The kayaking is very cool as well! Try the homemade coconut ice cream in centre Merida. It’s pretty good, more like shaved ice with coconut but still tasty.
