The property was perfect, great little spot on the red light. The decor was lovely, really felt like you was at home. Staff were very friendly and helpful I can’t say a bad word about this place!

It was really quiet, had an outdoor courtyard and I slept very well. The host was very informative and kind and left great details on how to reach the property and what to do once inside. There were also plenty of fluffy towels. I will definitely return.

In 2008 zijn we gestart met B&B 1680 en zijn er sindsdien elke dag met veel plezier mee bezig! Onze B&B is gevestigd in een monumentaal pand (monumentnummer 116), gelegen in het centrum van het centrum van Amsterdam: het oudste en meest originele gedeelte van de stad. Het fijne aan deze plek is dat je overal dichtbij bent: van musea tot tientallen restaurants, van supermarkten tot kleine winkeltjes. Graag heten we u van harte welkom in onze B&B en staan Dennis, Eugenie en Joost voor uw klaar!
Dennis is mode-ontwerper en heeft zijn atelier op de begane grond. Elk jaar presenteert hij zijn ontwerpen op de Fashion Week in Amsterdam. Zijn moeder Eugenie is hier vaak; ze woont al jaren in Amsterdam en heeft vaak handige tips. We eten zelf graag bij restaurant Szmulewics (leuke gerechten, niet zo duur ook) of halen Thai bij Thai Bird. Erg leuk is het om wat te gaan drinken bij Wynand Fockink, dat is een likeur destilleerderij/proeverij vlakbij ons huis. Ze bestaan al sinds 1679! Ze maken meer dan 70 likeurs. Als het lekker weer is, gaan we bbq-en in Amsterdam-Noord. Sowieso is het erg leuk om naar Amsterdam-Noord te gaan op de fiets: neem het (gratis) pont achter Centraal Station, steek over naar Noord en fiets langs de Nieuwendammerdijk verder naar landelijk noord.
Wat bijzonder is aan onze buurt is dat het eigenlijk een klein dorp is, waar wel veel gasten komen. Overdag is het er rustig, 's avonds wordt het geleidelijk drukker en gezelliger. Ons huis is aan de rand van het Red Light district gelegen, waardoor we geen "last" hebben van de grote drukte 's avonds. Ook kun je ons huis bereiken via het rustige gedeelte, zodat je niet door het Red Light district hoeft te lopen, wanneer je dat liever niet wilt. Veel buren zijn bezig om hun huis mooi te maken en de buurt extra gezellig te maken/houden. Wij houden erg van planten, daarom hebben we ook een grote blauwe regen voor de deur staan en proberen zo veel mogelijk groen om het huis te hebben.
