Last december (2018) I have purchased this Charming year round chalet in awesome vacation park on a great lake. My home when I am not abroad. It is well insulated and it has a good central heating system, digital thermostat and radiators in all rooms, keeping the place cozy through the seasons. There are plenty of sockets, lights and switches, the cabling hidden behind the new wall panels. The kitchen is compact and efficient, equipped with a stove top, microwave, dish washer and kitchen utensils. The bathroom has a good shower head and plenty of hot water, the design radiator is hot whenever the heat is on. The bedroom has a comfortable 140x200 cm bed with side tables and a double closet. The living has nice garden views. The vacation park is on a great lake in Friesland, the Dutch sailing province. It is well equipped with everything beach and water sports, catering, a super market, covered swim paradise (30 C april-oct), several restaurants and a reception desk. The restaurants also serve personal and business outings with archery, all kinds of games in the open air and in and on the water, but also parties and weddings. This chalet has everything for an un forgettable stay !!
We are excited to welcome you to our new charming year round chalet. Friesland is the province of Halbert's ancestors. I was sailing here six weeks every summer and a few weeks in spring and fall in my teenage years and into my 20s. When I was looking for a place like this throughout the country last winter, my heart was moved again by the many many very good times I have passed here throughout my life. Sophie and I also run a more extensive bed & breakfast together in Sweden, on an island in the Stockholm archipelago about an hour North of the city. We just love to provide the hospitality that our guests have come to expect. There is nothing better we think then seeing people be happy in the environment that we provide. So welcome to Friesland, to "our" vacation park and to Charming year round chalet on a great lake !!
About the "Neighborhood": this is a VERY dynamic vacation park on a great lake, Bergumermeer. It has all you need in terms of daily groceries, restaurants with terraces for drinks, lunch and dining in and outside, catering, beach, water sports and a good reception desk with responsive service. You don't need to, but if you prefer to leave the park every once and a while, the city of Burgum has a shopping street and nice places to eat, drink and for coffee at 10 minutes drive. And the larger cities of Leeuwarden and Drachten are at about 20 minutes drive with department stores, all kinds of museums and other larger city facilities :)
