We stayed with my mom and my dog at Hotel Dolores. I loved everything about it - it’s located at a quite village Hollum on Ameland. We arrived with the first ferry - so very early, and the room was already waiting for us. We slept under the sky full of stars seen through the roof windows, enjoyed the solarium in the shower - how fantastic it is!, walked everywhere, had a great breakfast. The hospitality of staff is amazing. I’d love to return. I loved it.

Lovely spacious room. Clean comfortable, nice shower / bathroom. We were with a dog…no problem ground floor with a little balcony. The bed was excellent. Drinks were free at locations in the hotel…coffee / hot chocolate machine…great. Breakfast was very good. Freshly squeezed orange juice…as much as you like was my pick! Eat as much as you like is not really a concept i like as i think its a bit old fashioned butin in the restaurant in the evening “tapas” menu and breakfast it worked really well for us!!

Overall I had a very good experience. Comfortable room, great breakfast, nice extras such as a sun shower and a sauna. The staff are very nice and really looking to help. The owners are absolutely wonderful people! For me this was the most important part, they made me feel so welcome and so comfortable. They are very lovely and friendly. I noticed that hotel restaurant Dolores have regular customers, which means that other people share my good experience. Definitely recommend to stay there when visiting Ameland. The hotel is in the centre of Hollum. There is a bike rental just around the corner, and beautiful areas to visit along the Ameland route.

Spacious and comfortable room, with access to a nice terrace. Great breakfast as well, delivered every morning to the room in a cool basket. Just around the corner, there is also a bike rental place that comes very handy if you want to explore the island. Overall, a solid choice for a holiday stay!

Very good breakfast. Every morning fresh smoothies and fruits. Nice selection of warm and cold cuts, cheese and many more choices. We also can recommend the dinner option in the restaurant. The room was clean and cosy. Staff was always very friendly and welcoming.
