I really enjoyed the area Studio Eeelhouse is in. It is in a quiet residential area but very close to the city center for shopping and food. We walked the entire city by foot. No need for a car. The little kitchen was convenient for making a few meals in to save on some money.

Lovely bright airy room with lots of windows. Equipped with everything I needed including a big comfy bed. Great location in the middle of the Jordaan and within walking distance of everywhere, only 15 mins from Centraal Station and 25 mins to Museumplein. Lots of nice bars and shops nearby and the Saturday/Monday markets are just at the end of the street. Daphne provided a friendly welcome.

Stay in the heart of Amsterdam

In the heart of the famous Jordaan district, this bed and breakfast offers rooms with a French balcony in an authentic canal house. Eelhouse includes free Wi-Fi and is a 15 minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station.

Each of the rooms at Eelhouse has hardwood floors, light décor and a flat-screen TV with a DVD player. A microwave, refrigerator and tea and coffee-making facilities are also provided. They include a private bathroom with a shower and hairdryer.

The Anne Frank House is a 10 minute walk from the guesthouse. Dam Square and the Royal Palace are both a 15 minute walk away. Eelhouse is less than a quarter mile from the Nieuwe Willemsstraat tram stop.

A CHARMING STUDIO IN THE HEART OF AMSTERDAM. THE EELHOUSE IS LOCATED IN A LOVELY HISTORIC NEIGHBOURHOOD. THE GUESTHOUSE IS ON THE CORNER OF A STREET. THE BUILDING IN WICH THE STUDIO IS SITUATED DATES FROM 1619 AND IS OF TYPICAL AMSTERDAM STYLE WITH STEPPED GABLES The studio has modern rooms each with recently renovated bathroom and a French balcony. The Eelhouse is due to its charming look one of the most photographed guesthouses in Amsterdam. You’ll be hard pressed to find a studio more authentic but yet so charming as The Eelhouse. As the building is very old it has a traditional Dutch spiral staircase which is not suitable for less abled persons!
I'm Daphne, I'm in my mid thirties and running this guesthose now for 9 years! It's always a pleasure to meet new people and to make sure they have the best possible time in Amsterdam!
The Jordaan is compared to the rest of the town an oasis of peace with a labyrinth of narrow streets and little canals, nice for strolling around courtyards, art studios, and monumental buildings with stone tablets, old-fashioned ‘brown’ pubs, boutiques and galleries. Also it houses the best restaurants of the centre, all of them small and authentic!
