We used Hilversum as a base to visit relatives throughout...
We used Hilversum as a base to visit relatives throughout the country. The accommodations are half the price of the Holiday Inn at the train station in Amsterdam with a much bigger suite and a good kitchen. We rented a car at the airport which worked out well. There was free parking everywhere outside Amsterdam. Hilversum is filled with good restaurants and is a beautiful smaller city.

I'm my booking I asked for a single double bed but the hotel told me booking.com did not inform then so I had 2 single bed which I did not like . So I dad to downgrade my room to get a bed that I like without any refund.

Hilversum is a small and cozy city next to Utrecht. It is very calm even though it has a big variety of restaurants, bars, cafés. Also it has a mall with brands like Primark, Zara, H&M and a big cinema close by.

Lots of restaurants and shops. Good location for travel to Amsterdam. Only 20 mins on the train. Could do with more of the restaurants having their menus with English translation as this caused us a few problems .looking forward to going back

In the beggining I didn't have my expectations too high, but once I got there, I saw that the staff was exceptional and was really efficient helping me with an issue I had with my booking. They were very kind to me and I really appreciate their help. In terms of comfort in the room, I was also surprised (in a good way) with the size of the room and bathroom. By the way, they have the best troiletries pack I've seen in a few years travelling around.paulaBrazil

We traveled a lot around The Netherlands so for us it was perfect. Staf was friendly. I really loved the vibe of the building.
