Location obviously. Old-fashioned hotel in a nice way. Friendly staff.

This is not a typical hotel or regular one, it has it's own character. And you can feel it the moment you step in. You'll be welcomed by the owner in the morning shift or Robert in the evening shift both are great and welcoming. Robert though would find the time to answer your questions about Norway, planning your trip or even recommending what you can have for dinner! They're that awesome. Speaking of dinner they have restaurant at the same hotel that serve one of best home cooking Raindeer steaks and local Trout you might taste. It's part of the whole experience if I might say. Mathew and the lady in the restaurant were very helpful and kind. In addition to all of that, it has one of the best views in the world. 1 minute walk to the epic Vøringfossen waterfall. No doubt I will visit it again. Don't visit Norway without visiting this hotel for at least one night. Thank me later.

authentic Scandinavian design. it feels like traveling back in time

Historic and unique hotel that has been kept as original as possible. Incredible view and excellent restaurant

perfect location with a spectacular view. vintage style but clean.

Food was great, both breakfast and dinner. View was amazing. Rooms were very clean. The place is exceptionally well located. The perfect spot. The building has so much character. You feel the history and it is very special.

Make no mistake, this hotel is rustic and a bit dated. And it is very isolated. We thought that added to the experience. The hotel has so much character it really appealed to us. The room was basic and felt like it was from another era. But, the view was incredible and we had our own private, tiny, balcony. The common areas were really fun. There were a variety of sitting areas in many different styles. Some areas, including the dining room, have great windows looking out on amazing views. For such an isolated location diner was amazing. We highly recommend the reindeer steak and the roast lamb. This was our favorite meal in Norway. We were surprised how close the waterfall is and enjoyed walking around there late in the evening when we had the place to ourselves.

Classic, historic hotel. Great location next to one of the largest and most impressive waterfalls in Norway - staying at the falls allowed us to catch them in good light despite it being a stormy day. Proprietor was pleasant and helpful. Good restaurant.

everything is great there so friendly everyone there hope all the best for you all

What a super location ! Just a few steps and you are at the look out decks of the Voringfossen waterfalls . The breakfast was good and the staff very helpful. Recommended for an overnight stay.
