Explore Lysefjorden is a local company that has sold and organized tours and activities in and around Lysefjorden since 2017. The company is owned and run by three local families who wish to show you some of the best that Norway has to offer. Gøysa Gard was purchaced in 2019 in order to expand our services to overnight accomadations so that our guests have a perfect starting point from which they can experience Western Norway, the Stavanger area and Lysefjorden with its magnificent mountaintops.

Property info

Welcome to Gøysa Gard. This charming small farm is located centrally in Forsand, providing a panorama view of the Lysefjord. We offer overnight accommodations in this peaceful and scenic environment surrounded by both mountains and fjords. We can accommodate up to 25 guests at a time. The main house is divided into three separate units; The Farmhouse (Villa with sea view), Astrid's (Villa with garden view) and The Nest (one-bedroom apartment) which is in the basement below The Farmhouse. These units have their own private terrace with a stunning view. From June 2023 we have two new units. These are two queen rooms with an amazing fjord view, and they are called "Forest" and "Fjord". Please note that these units are only 15 sqm, meaning they are most suitable for 1-3 nights stay if there are two guests. Outside each unit there is a private terrace with a stunning view, a seating area and a fire pit. There is also a separate storage compartment outside with a lock for extra luggage, outdoor clothes/shoes etc. Behind these units there are also two sink tubs which are free to use for the guests, and there is hot & cold water close by for self service. If you want to sit outside on a cold evening, enjoy an open fire or just have some simple barbecue, we have "Fantahålå" which is available for our guests. This is an old silo which is made in to a cozy sitting group around a fire pit. At Gøysa, we also have a small café which is open during daytime on weekdays and on Saturdays. Here you can get a light meal, ice cream, some snack, coffee, a glass of wine or a cold beer. It is really important for us that our guests are satisfied, and return to their home with a good memory, and a wish to return. Neighborhood info

Gøysa Gard is located central Forsand with peaceful nature environment. From the farm there is a path down to the fjord at about 100 meters. Along this road you will find two grocery stores where "Joker" is located at Lysefjorden Marina and "Coop Marked" at the other end by "The Pink Ferry Dock"/Forsand Pier. From the pier you can take the tourist ferry, sightseeing boat and kayak rental. There is also public transportation from the pier. Whether you are planing to experience Preikestolen/Pulpit Rock, Kjerag, Flørli og simply enjoy the raw Norwegian nature, Gøysa Gard s is the perfect place.
