This property overlooks Nærøydalen, 6.2 mi from Nærøyfjorden and 30 minutes' drive from the center of Voss. The Unesco World Heritage area stretches from the start of Nærøyfjorden, up Nærøydalen and up to Stalheim, where Stalheim Fjord and Fjellhytter are located. Stalheim is located at the entrance and has a panoramic view far down the World Heritage site. All the cabins at Stalheim Fjord and Fjellhytter have an interior with wood paneling and a spacious living/dining room. All have a TV and their own kitchen. All cabins have a washing machine. Two of the largest cabins also have an extended bathroom with a sauna. It offers ski-to-door access and cabins with spacious terraces. Swings, a sandbox and a slide have been installed in the open area around the playground on site (right next to the cabins). There is also a larger communal bench where guests can enjoy breakfast with a panoramic view down the unique Nærøydalen. Voss Resort ski resort is 19 mi from Stalheim Fjord and Fjellhytter. Myrkdalen Fjellandsby with ski resorts is 20 minutes' drive from Stalheim. The cabins are located in the middle of one of Norway's most attractive tourist areas. The cabins are located 984 feet from Stalheim hotel, which is known for its view down Nærøydalen and its wonderful location at the top of Stalheimskleiva. The same view can be found up at Stalheim Fjord and Fjellhytter. Stalheim hotel has a privat museum, a bar and a restaurant. There has been an established tourist hotel at Stalheim since 1885. Stalheim has many hiking trails in the immediate vicinity starting from the cabin yard. Owners of the cabins mark and active hiking trail that starts at the cabins and goes up to one of the best viewing areas in Norway. Brandsetdalen, 3.1 miles away, offers very good summit hiking conditions, especially in winter. This valley has quite a nice climb with different levels of difficulty, as the pictures on this page show. Gudvangen is a 10-minute drive from Stalheim down Nærøydalen. Gudvangen is located at the end of the famous Nærøyfjord, which allso is ranked on the UNESCO World Heritage List. You will find rafting, kayaking and hiking at Gudvangen and the surrounding area. A 3.1 mi drive along the fjord to Bakka is recommended. The same applies to recommending a fjord cruise between Flåm and Gudvangen. Otherwise, the viewpoint town of Stegastein above Aurland center is worth a visit. The valley near to Stalheim, Jordalen, offers very beautiful nature experiences.
