This place is in an exceptional location, right on a large lake, amazing views out our window. Also, enjoyed the small town and the hike to the spectacular waterfall above town - not to be missed! Room and beds were comfy and quiet. Liked the easy access from the train station. Breakfast was a disappointment, not much available, not the quality we found in other Norwegian hostels.

We booked a room with the lake view, which was amazing. The beds were super comfortable. The breakfast buffet was good. The guest kitchen was well equipped. The front desk staff were great, very friendly and helpful. I would happily stay there again.

I liked that it was just outside of town but an easy stroll to restaurants and bus terminal and gondola. Parking is convenient and easy. The staff was super friendly and kind.

Considering these are corona times and that it is off season Voss Vandrehjem do an exceptional job & keep their standards high for just a few guests 🏆👍 What a great place to stay! Fireplace, cosey comfy reading corners! Pool table. Lovely terasse decorated with colorful heather with stunning view of the lake. Apple orchard and vegetable garden that guests can also have access to. Good variety of breakfast choices and breakfast tables were nicely decorated with mini orange pumpkins perfect for autumn!
