Property info

Panauti is an old historic Newari town that is about 36km far from the capital city. Panauti Community Homestay is a group of 16 Nepali families that have opened their houses for travelers from all around the world. This project is running with the motto "By the women, For the women". The local women actively serve the travelers staying at their houses. You will be provided with a simply furnished room, clean bathrooms, comfortable beds with a Nepali touch. You will be able to experience true Nepalese lifestyle and feel like part of the family.

Neighborhood info

Panauti is a perfect blend of culture, nature and tradition. The center of the town is historic. There is Indreswor Temple back from 13th century. A nostalgic atmosphere covers the narrow town streets and ancient structures. The cremation site is so luring and peaceful. It feels as if has been left exactly the way the founders had built the town. Apart from the historical aspect, you can also engage yourself in hiking to the small village nearby to experience the village life of Nepal. Or hiking to Namo Buddha, a beautiful monastery near Panauti is an adventurous trip. Seasonal festivals or activities can be the highlight of the stay.
