We had our coffee on the front porch with a beautiful view of the harbor. They gave us great advice about restaurants, walks, and area treasures. Our plans changed and we decided to stay longer -- largely because it was such a great place.

We love living in Akaroa and now offer a private apartment - The Rectangle at C'est Magnifique for self catering accommodation. Having hosted Akaroa House and Akaroa Apartment previously - we earnt 9.8 out of 10 for reviews on Booking. The Rectangle is a private - own entrance - architecturally designed apartment beside our home property - we are available, if required however guests have the accommodation for private use.
We are well travelled hosts who enjoy gardening and life. Our accommodation offering is well presented and we are available if needed - but respect guest's privacy and independence in the private apartment - called The Rectangle.
Akaroa offers a gogeous seaside setting of heritage houses and pretty gardens. An eclectric selection of shops, activities and restaurants. We are situated above the main beach - An easy two minutes drive to the village - or a ten minute down hill walk Located in a quiet location - offering privacy, peace and great views. Opposite Stanley Park for birdsong and uninterrupted views. The road to Akaroa is windy - although 72 km from Christchurch - allow at least 90 minutes to enjoy the drive - plus stops for photos.
