The location was great. Nice Bar/Restaurant next door and lots more excellent options for food and drinks in the nearby town centre of Paihia. Also very close to the ferry to Russell and all kinds of adventure rides. Our host John was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our room was nice with Bay of Island views.

John was so helpful with everything! When we arrived we had a plan for the following day, which we laid out for John, he offered valuable information to help us make some decisions and offered suggestions of other places we should visit as well. He got the room all set up for us, turning the heat on and showing us how to operate everything. The location was absolutely perfect - right on the water, close enough to walk to everything we would need. The size of our room was perfect, and the whole place has a carefree, fresh air, relaxing vibe about it. I would come here again and again.

It was really clean, within walking distance to the wharf, beach, shops, restaurants, and supermarkets. You also can take sitting on the balcony, the view from there was great. Although it doesn't have modern facilities, however, its cleanness, quietness and convenience impressed us deeply. The host and business owner John is enthusiastic and hospitable, if you have any questions, just ask him!

John was a great host with assistance from Kim (his dog). We had unit 9 which looked down the driveway to the ocean. Kitchen had utensils to cook breakfast and dinner. This combined with the roof top area with bbq, a table, and loungers was a bonus with a better view of ocean.

This accommodation exceeded our expectations! Originally, we were booked at an upmarket apartment that was 4x the price, decided to go for this place instead due to central location and value for money. We compared this place to our original booking and were not disappointed with our decision. The owner/manager of this property cannot do enough to ensure a great stay, working hard all day to maintain high standard, and advise on best options for tours etc. Great facilities like complimentary laundry, and 5min walk to central area & ferry wharf.
