Kitchen set-up, very big and space out. The Staff!!! Had some genuine chat's and laughs. Location, mostly everything is nearby via walk and it's definitely the place to be once the nightlife comes back to life at level 1. It's by far the most social backpackers I've been to in New Zealand. I'm definitely coming back again.

I love staying here whenever I go to New Plymouth. The staff are wonderful -t's a warm and welcoming atmosphere every time I go. The kitchen is well stocked and clean. The beds are comfortable. Everything you want in accommodation.

Located on the west coast of New Zealand's North Island, Ariki Backpackers is just 350 feet from New Plymouth's shops, pubs and bus terminal. It offers a restaurant, a tour desk and a communal kitchen.

Located above Icons Sports Bar, New Plymouth Ariki Backpackers is 2 minutes' walk from well-known coastal art piece The Wind Wand. It is 6 minutes' drive from both Stadium Taranaki and Brooklands Zoo.
