beautifully set up, furnishings were lovely, very comfortable bed, fantastic location - view over the lake, quiet location, easy drive to the lake, local shops and Taupo itself. All the little extras were a nice touch - so much nicer than a normal motel room, and so spacious. We would love to have made use of the outdoor area / bbq, but it wasn’t the weather for it. very warm and cosy j side though! Highly recommended!

A fabulous stay as it was quiet and peaceful along with everything you need in the apartment. The host has thought of every little thing which makes the stay perfect. The use of their spa at night also adds to it. We loved cooking on the bbq each night too.

  • Hi. Would you have room to park a 7m boat?
    It would not be possible to park a 7m boat on a trailer on the property. Due to the sloping, curved nature of the driveway it would be difficult to reverse in or out. A boat on a trailer could be parked on the road (at guest risk obviously).

  • Hi. We are coming to Taupo to go fishing for a couple of days.Is there room to park two cars and a 6 metre boat with a trailer. Regards, Paul
    There is room for two medium size cars on the property. However it would not be possible to bring a boat on a trailer - it would be difficult to reverse in or out. A boat on a trailer could be parked on the road (at your risk obviously).

Situated in Acacia Bay, Lake Taupo, with beautiful views of Lake Taupo is our spacious downstairs two bedroom apartment. Set in a quiet safe area, it consists of a large studio queen bedroom (open to living area) and a second bedroom with super king bed (can be converted to king singles by prior request). The apartment has a large living area including lounge/dining/kitchen, full private bathroom and laundry. Great indoor/outdoor living, with access to a spa pool. Your hosts live upstairs. The accommodation is in the downstairs, separate part of our house and is fully self contained with its own entrance. All living/sleeping areas have a view to the lake. Amenities include a smart TV, free unlimited fast wifi, a private outdoor patio and garden area with 180deg views to the lake. The kitchen is well equipped with stove, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee machine, coffee plunger, electric jug, dishwasher, dishes, cutlery, pots and pans, electric frypan, toaster, water glasses, wine glasses, tea pot (and more). Coffee ,Tea and fresh milk starter pack supplied, also herbs, pepper, salt, sugar,cooking oil. A modern spa pool housed in a sheltered gazebo is available until 2130.
We are a retired couple who enjoy having guests from around the world stay at our unique property. Having lived in many parts of the world including Asia, USA and Europe and having traveled extensively we have a good appreciation of what international travelers expect. We respect your privacy but are happy to provide assistance and answer queries when required.
Acacia Bay is a quiet, safe, leafy neighbourhood with nearby walks and cycle tracks. It is very popular for boating, swimming, and kayaking. Our local bistro is a 5 minute walk down the road for meals and pizzas! We overlook the lake, which can be reached by a 10 - 15 minute walk where there is a beautiful walk around the lake edge. The drive to Taupo is 6 kms and it takes around 10 minutes. There is also a cycle track to Taupo which takes around 20 minutes. Taupo offers a diverse range of attractions including bungy jumps, sky diving, river rafting, trout fishing, boat trips, golf, mountain biking, thermal attractions, hiking and in winter is about 1.5 hours from the nearest ski field.
