“Everything, (yes really). This is a rare occasion when the photographs are exactly the same as the real view. Every kitchen utensil and home comfort you may require. We went when the weather was cool - warm but I would love to go back and make use of the amazing fireplace. Our hosts made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend if you just want peace and quiet and to feel like you are miles from anyone else but still just a few minutes from the village itself. “Firstly, if you are still working on your itinerary, please make sure that Akaroa is a part of it. Akaroa is beautiful! Secondly, if you stay in Akaroa you MUST stay at Mumfords. What a place! Imagine a cabin with high ceilings and of a size that can fit full, extremely well equipped modern kitchen, separate dining area, living area, sleeping area(super comfortable bedding), and a library of unique books! Floor to ceiling windows! And an enormous balcony overlooking garden and mountains! Then you walk down through the garden and through the forest to the private beach! Nicky and Fran, mother and daughter, they are excellent hosts! They live in their own house located just next door, they are always around greeting you and helping with anything you need, but at a same time making sure that you have complete privacy and plenty of space for yourself. Duckling wander through property. Beautiful songbirds wake you up in the morning. The views are the best in town.
