Just 5 minutes south is family-friendly Matapouri beach, bay, and estuary. A popular walk leads to Whale Bay, while Tutukaka, 15 minutes south, boasts the marina where you can book fishing and boat tours to Poor Knights for snorkeling. Nearby conveniences include a general store, chip shop and seasonal woodfired pizza moments away in Matapouri. Tutukaka offers Schnappa Rock and the marina restaurant for casual dining, while Ngunguru offers a café, takeaways and grocery stores for all your needs. Please note while older kids are welcome, due to the stairs and ladder, and lack of childproofing, the house is not suitable for smaller note a bond may be charged at certain times of the year.
