Welcome to New Zealand’s adrenalin capital! There are a mountain of possibilities for your pleasure including bungee jumping, rafting, jet boating and skydiving. Overlooking the calm waters of Lake Wakatipu and surrounded by peaceful mountains retreats like The Remarkables and Walter Peak, Queenstown is also party town with many cosy bars and cafés.
The best panoramas can be enjoyed when you take the Skyline Gondola up to Bob’s Peak on Ben Lamond. Breathe in the fresh alpine air when you walk or mountain bike the Queenstown Trail to nearby Arrowtown.
It’s not time to relax yet as there is still skiing to be done in the picturesque ski fields of Coronet Peak or The Remarkables and canyoning at Routeburn Canyon. Hang gliding, paragliding and abseiling are all here too!

Queenstown is a stunning place to visit for scenery.
Queenstown is a stunning place to visit for scenery. There are many activities to participate in. I participated in a 5 day cycle ride on excellent trail which were well marked and maintained.
It's easy to walk around the town, even at night. Lots of eateries.
The town was upgrading roads from the airport but it was well managed and causing minimal inconvenience. There is a bus to and from the airport to city which costs $2 NZD a trip (with a Bee card which can be purchased at the airport for $5 NZD).

Queenstown is a beautiful place and we toured around the area by car. So much to see and views are just amazing. Queenstown is a great place for adventure. You can go on the Gondola and then ride down on the luge. We went on the Shotover Jet which is so fast and exciting. Also went in the OLSEN spa pools which was very relaxing and looks over the valley. There is so much to do and if you are an adrenalin junky, then this is your town. Be prepared to spend money as the cost of food, accommodation and the tours etc are expensive.
Great place to visit

Queenstown is in a lovely scenic location.
Queenstown is in a lovely scenic location. Plenty to see and do. Plenty of nice restaurants to choose from but can be expensive to eat out. Very busy with plenty of people milling around. Good public transport if you don't want to use the car.

Only our second visit to Queenstown but we love it.
Only our second visit to Queenstown but we love it. Not the skiing type so I'm not sure we'd love the winter. Love the clean cared-for look of the place. A real credit to locals and their city council.

This is my third time returning to Queenstown and I fear I will never get enough of it. The scenery that you get to enjoy every day is unparalleled and the people here are so kind and wonderful. We could spent weeks around this area and continue finding something new and wonderful to enjoy.
We love going up the gondola and spending unlimited time on the luge rides. Highly recommend Patagonia ice cream shop and of course Fergburger. Hot tip; if you can push your dinner out for a bit later, it'll be worth it to skip the line. We went at about 8:30 and barely had any wait and were served with great burgers, fresh chips and a smile.
The staff at reception were very friendly and accommodating + the cleaners were also very friendly when we occasionally ran into them heading in-and-out on our day-to-day activities. Overall we found the rooms to be fairly spacious compared to similar hotels at similar prices. Only a short walk to the center of Queenstown. They had purchasable kits from reception for convenience (toothbrush & toothpaste or Shaving kits) and a nice catalog of things to do in Queenstown stationed on a table inside the apartment.
The location was great, so close to the main centre of Queenstown, being a few minutes walk.
I have stayed at The Glebe a few times including at the Penthouse many years ago and other units within the Glebe. It is so handy to everything and the one bedroom apartment I stayed in this time was clean and comfortable.
I was cold with only one small heater but once I mentioned it to Reception they obliged with two more heaters so it was nice and toasty! Being on my own, it seemed a very safe space.
Fantastic stay at Melbourne Lodge from the warm welcome offered by Vineet (Manager) to the quality of the room amenities. Vineet provided us with excellent customer service throughout our stay, the room was very well-equipped and comfortable. Overall spotlessly kept by an attentive and friendly housekeeping staff.
Ideal location so close to Queenstown central, I can highly recommend this hospitable establishment.
It's a cheap place to stay. If you are fine with sleeping i a shared room with others, it is very cheap.
I've booked a single room, which is more expensive but still cheap compared to other hotels in Queenstown.
I had to share bathroom and toilet, but that was no problem as there are more bathrooms and toilets available.
Location is great, walking distance to center and the gondola.
The room was clean. The bed was very comfortable. It was out of Queenstown centre, perfect for us who like peaceful place. Lake view.
The rate included buffet breakfast. Breakfast was super. The dining room had nice lake view.
The staff was super friendly and helpful to accommodate our needs. Definitely we will stay in this hotel again next time we are in Queenstown.
We went to Queenstown to celebrate our daughters b'day and this was one of the best trips we had. Hotel is awesome. Surrounded by mountains and stream. Room is very clean. Enjoyed the quiet and comfy place after long drives. Recommended to everyone specially with family's with baby's. They'll love the sceneries and continues flights and helicopters.
Amazing location, free parking available. Booked From Queenstown: Milford Sound Full-Day Trip by Bus & Boat and got picked up from Copthorne Hotel & Apartments Queenstown Lakeview, 88 Frankton Road, Queenstown 9300, New Zealand opposite to this hotel. Amazing stay and will recommend to others the same. Will be back again soon :-)
Amazing experience! My partner and I love Queenstown. We traveled from Dunedin for a secret elopement. Everything was great. Beautiful place to stay and just a short walk to the Queenstown centre. When we checked out the lovely woman behind the desk congratulated us and gifted us a bottle of bubbles. We will be back :)
Great location - walking distance into centre of Queenstown.
Delightful staff - so helpful. Special shout out to Alexandra (restaurant manager at breakfast] - so professional, always smiling and nothing was too much trouble - the hotel are lucky to have you on their staff!
Lake view room was fantastic.
Amazing location, looking out over the lake. Easy to catch the bus or drive into the centre of Queenstown.
The apartment had everything you needed from kitchen utensils to bathroom products and private drive. Communal facilities were also fab.
It was also really clean, everything seemed brand new.
Really modern and clean, great location just a short walk from the centre of Queenstown. Staff were super helpful and friendly. This is a perfect base for a stay in Queenstown. The room is compact but perfect for what we needed. Loved the vending machine for hot drinks - hot chocolate is the best!
Car parking was free. I wish I hadn't let this guide my choice of accommodation as there are similar priced budget hotels closer to the centre of Queenstown but didn't go with them because of the parking. The room was clean when we arrived. Within walking distance of the centre of Queenstown .
This is a unique, boutique style hotel. Small, with a homely feel to it, and decorated to a high standard. The location is great, close to town, and easy to walk into Queenstown centre. Access to free NZ products (like soft drinks and chocolate) was a really nice touch.
Only real plus for me was the restaurants at the other hotel at the bottom of the hill, which had good food and staff.
Also, the fact we could get the water taxi over to the centre of Queenstown and back was good.
Comfy cheap hotel 5-10 mins outside of Queenstown Center. Rooms have heating and electric blankets. Double or king beds are 2x single beds together with king fitted sheet/blankets
Nice to have a 4-5 star hotel in Queenstown that isn’t run down. Modern with a great location. One of the cheapest hotels which also included breakfast. Highly recommend.
