    There is 1 allocated Carpark off the road right beside your entrance. If you have 2 cars you can squeeze them in there :)

  • Hi. Is this a ground level accommodation? I note the terrace option? Are bedrooms ground level? My mum is aged and prefer to avoid steps.
    Thanks for your enquiry. The Boudoir itself a single ground level suite, it has no stairs or changes in level throughout. However the entrance to the Boudoir is up 3 strong, wide stairs from your carpark space.

The House of Hazel is very special to me. During the birth of the project I decided to pay homage to my Nana, a forward thinking and wise woman, naming the property, The House of Hazel, after her. She was warm, welcoming and her baking tins were always full to the brim for the family! Nana loved birds and cultivated a gathering place for local birds by feeding them a loaf a day! We have kept her bird houses and you wont miss the sounds of the birds nesting in the evening or singing away to each other during the day. We have done our best to anticipate your needs and have your accommodation well appointed for your stay. You will find everything from a hair dryer, iron etc right through to every cable tv channel, washing facilities, cookie time biscuits for your tea and chocolate on your pillow!

You’ll find at The House of Hazel you’re oh so central to everything you will need while you’re in Matamata. Located in a residential neighbourhood, circa 1km to Matamata town centre where you will find bars, restaurants and shops as well as the i-site bus stop to Hobbiton Movie Set & Tours. We are around the corner from Matamata Racecourse and are on the way to Hobbiton Movie Set & Tours. Matamata truly is very centrally positioned, putting all tourist attractions in the region within reach. Walking routes and hiking trails are plentiful as well as new cycle ways and after a day of exercise there are many different natural hot springs to enjoy.
