This was a very clean and well supplied accommodation provider during our extended stay in Howick. As we had a rental car, parking was important and off-street parking was available. The in-unit fridge provided welcoming options, and daily breakfast items were available in the communal fridge. An excellent range of cooking options were available on-site. Probably the best shared facilities location we encountered in Auckland!

Super clean, modern shared facilities. Permanent residents are quiet and friendly, kitchen is fantastic. Location on the main street of historic Howick bang on. Off street parking nearby.

I was greeted by very friendly young staff who checked me in and then the delightful proprietor - Barry, showed me to my room, carrying my bag. I live in Auckland but on the other side of the city - and was in Howick for an event so decided to turn it into an adventure. I was a little worried about security - especially when I heard they were hosting two 21st birthday parties that night. Was also 'interested' to see how the shared bathroom situation would work out. I needn't have worried about either - rooms are upstairs and access is by code entry only - and as for the bathrooms, they were pristine and there were plenty of loos and showers. the room itself was compact but very clean and fresh and had everything I needed. it was a warm friendly environment in which to spend the night and a lovely opportunity to see behind the scenes of a bit of Auckland's history. I honestly couldn't recommend it highly enough. Many thanks to Barry and his team.

The Prospect is positioned in centre of Howick, handy to shops, banks, opposite great Saturday Market and a bus stop outside the entrance The decor is very tasteful and elegant. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms have shared bathrooms, but the ratio is perfect for never to have to wait to use the facilities.Each guest is provided with a dressing gown. The menu in the restaurant downstairs caters for all tastes and food is delicious. Breakfast is continental and self served - plenty of choices available for guests daily.
