Regarded as the oldest inhabited city of the Americas and its historical capital, none of these things are enough to describe the magic enchainment and colourful people of Cusco. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, its current shape is the colonial result of building on top of many Incan sites. A good example is the Cathedral of Santo Domingo.
Must see places include the walled complex of ‘Sacsayhuamán’, and the remains of the main temple of ‘Coricancha’, dedicated to the Sun God ‘Inti’.
