“The owner Juan was exceptionally nice, and his wife was available all the time through what's app, even late at night when we were arriving. Juan gave us extra blankets when needed and helped fix a shower issue quickly. I was looking at Palcoyyo mountain tours on the day of a protest and he was able to get information for me by making some calls. For $20 CAD for a double room at night, you can't go wrong. :) It was really quiet and close enough to the city centre you can walk to quickly. The rooms were across from apartments that locals live in and the building was across from a school, so we felt like we got a true authentic experience (rather than just staying in a touristy hotel). There is a GREAT french-peruvian restaurant next door as well (La Culture De Manger). Great place for a short stay if you are okay with the cold!”
