If you're travelling to Iquitos, you're not there for Iquitos. You're there for the Amazon forest that lies beyond. If you have the money, stay at Treehouse Lodge. It's actually reasonable for what you get. All inclusive, your own private guide, excellent food, 2 to 3 private tours of your choosing, into the rainforest. And you stay high in the rainforest in a room built near the top of a living tree, hundreds of years old.

I’m glad I went to Iquitos I always wanted to see the Amazon River the food was good in Iquitos I wouldn’t recommend more than 5 day’s there I stayed 7 a little to long for me would I go back probably not I enjoyed the jungle but would go a different city in Lorento the people around Plaza de Armas are a little to pushy for me to take there tours I would say no and they would persist I was impressed with the amount of people who spoke English very well I might add my Spanish is good though

I really didn't liked Iquitos, spend the night there and it was a night too much. the small city is very loud and full of smoke from the moto taxi.
Every place without price tag feels like it try to rip you off.
Street fruits are good (the pineapple was amazing)

The King Suite was really big and the food was very tasty.
The King Suite was really big and the food was very tasty. We booked a massage which was wonderful and the pool is the best in Iquitos. It was just what we needed after a great adventure in the jungle.

Iquitos is amazing.
Iquitos is amazing. The jungle is some of the richest forests in the world. While the city can appear dirty and poor to some, I found beauty and a real charm to the people and the hustle and bustle of motorbikes and tuk tuks.

We stayed at Kokopeli hostel and it was great!
We stayed at Kokopeli hostel and it was great! They only accept soles so make sure you have cash. Location was nice but no meals included. The jungle tour was incredible and I stayed at a bungalo without cell service, so it was nice to unplug. All meals were included with our tour. The boat rides were amazing, wildlife was beautiful. Absolutely take a jungle tour in Iquitos. I recommend 1 night 2 days.
The hosts were kind, attentive, knowledgeable and readily available for me, even early in the morning. Chip let me borrow one of his charging blocks when it turned out mine didn't fit the outlets in the room (only 2 prong). The area is a bit hectic, I stayed here after a medicine retreat and I found it too busy for my liking. The room was clean and had a nice view but I had better rooms priced for less on previous stays in Iquitos.
As Lonely Planet says, the best place to stay in Iquitos. It's not only the great location at the end of the malecon, or the incredible views from the room, or the fact that you get a kitchen as well as an ensuite...it's the staff that make this so highly recommended. They all speak good English and are so friendly and helpful in assisting with taxis, trips, where to find an atm, where to eat etc. You just can't go wrong here.
This is the quietest of the six places I've stayed in Iquitos. While it looks far from the center, there are lots of busses all the time and I prefer to sleep somewhere quiet. The gardens are lovely, flocks of parrots come through every morning and the breakfast is good. While it's on a side street, there are plenty of Moto-taxis that pass by if you don't want to take the bus.
Very friendly staff. The rooms are very spacious, more than enough room for your luggage and to walk around. Everything was clean and the bathroom smelled great (something I noticed for the first time while traveling in Colombia and Peru). The location is good, about 10 mins walk to Plaza de Armas. Also the airconditioning was working perfectly, a must in Iquitos!
Chip, (American Host) couldn't have been kinder. Greeted me when I arrived, showed me to my room and when I had settled, he took me on a quick tour of Iquitos so I could get my bearings. He told me all the best places to go/eat/shop/bank and info on getting taxis/guides. His Partner is Peruvian and lovely.
The room was perfect. Spotless, fresh towels, Good A/C.
We stayed in apt #26 (the penthouse).
Incredible view, clean, and comfortable. You wont find a nicer place to stay in Iquitos. The owner, Jim, if you happen to meet him, is a great host. Be sure to read Jim's guide to Iquitos, found in every room. A wealth of information and suggestions, including places to eat, that you wont find anywhere else
Nice, basic room and friendly staff! We only stayed here one night. It was very dark and stormy outside so we didn’t want to leave the building. The employee at the front desk was kind enough to order us take out pizza to the hotel. He also reserved us taxi for early in the morning and packed us breakfast for our early flight.
It’s worth investing to get the bigger room, sit on the balcony and enjoy the view with locals! The staff helped us with laundry, and the food downstairs was pretty good. The coffee downstairs is great for working, and my son enjoyed the pool. The AC worked well, good quality price compared to other options in Iquitos!
We absolutely loved our stay in Pablo's and Lorena's Lodge and had an amazing time. The two are very special and they and their team cared so much about our well-being and experiences we would make in Iquitos and the beautiful nature around it.
We would come any time back and wish everyone only the best! 🥰
the price is very low for the room and location, however, its not a five-star hotel so we need to have this in mind before booking.
we used just for sleeping as we were out of the hostal all the time and only needed for 2 nights. so we had all the basics.
the lady at the reception is very kind.
The rooms were huge. Bed was king size and very comfortable. With Iquitos being so hot, air con is very important and it was very good at the 2 rooms I stayed in. The hotel is only a few blocks from the Plaza de Armas which is the centre of town.
Casa Morey is a old property that brings you back to the 1800s. If you are looking for 5star Ritz luxury this is not the place. if you want true character, cleanliness, location, and a kind staff….this place is 5 star in my book.
The breakfast at Fitzcarrald Hotel is the best I have had that was included at a hotel. It was fresh, nutritious and filling and always served with a smile. This was an amazing find and I owe it all to Booking.com. Such a gem!
I loved the place … workers well prepared ,good English speakers , rooms fully renovated great air conditioning, I have nice experience at this hotel , love the restaurant ( delicious food ) .. security’s 24 hour
