I like Vigan for it's old world appeal especially at the very popular Calle Crisologo. I also like the friendliness of the people, the amazing plazas and the choices of restaurants available. Vigan has its own very unique charm and despite not being as modern as some of the more developed cities in the Philippines, it is just as, if not more interesting. Calle Crisologo itself is beautiful and a great spot to take pictures especially at night, but beyond it there's not much to see and do. A one-day visit is enough, IMHO, as there are many more things to see and do around Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte.

Vigan is a lovely city with old world charm.
Vigan is a lovely city with old world charm. Uncharacteristically it is not crowded unlike much of the Philippines. The beaches are good, the old city is fun to explore and its one of the few places in Philippines where I wasn't stressed driving as there is little traffic, and so easy to get around. One of the cleanest places I have seen. Vigan take pride in their streets and surroundings and don't litter.Dave - 10Scored 10
