Friendly and accommodating staffs! Room seemed simple but clean enough. We could have good sleep with the sound of rippling waves. Easy access to whale shake watching and Sumilon beach activities. Reasonable and tasty Filipino food!

The owner was uber friendly, she facilitated our car rental and made sure that the driver made stopovers at the tourist spots on our way back to Cebu City.

PhilippinesIn an area with very few options, Bangcogon was totally fine for one night before diving with the whale sharks the next day. The beds aren't the most comfortable and the toilet didn't have a seat but a/c was good, the room was clean and the staff was very helpful. It's also a 1-minute drive from the whale shark diving area or a 13-minute walk which is convenient if that's what you're here to do. The boat to go to Sumilon Island is also very near. I wouldn't stay here for long but it's fine for one night.

PhilippinesSuch a great experience to stay in this tranquil and beautiful place. When we arrived at the resort, the owners and staffs accommodated us quickly. They let us check in earlier without any charges. When they knew it’s our 10th year anniversary, they treated us delicious sisig and even set up tables and chairs and played beautiful songs. They are so generous and thoughtful. Hubby and I felt extremely special on that very important day. I would definitely come back here. ❤️

The freshness of sea air gives off a calming effect. It's a vacation, after all. Let's go to Sumilon! It is a 10-minute boat ride from the resort where we are through our BOAT RENTAL. Take your beachwear and goggles with you! Bring in snacks and our fiesta bilao. Our restaurant's got you covered; we deliver by sea—free delivery! The island welcomes you to a fine sandbar. You'll lose track of time while swimming and enjoying time with your family and friends.

Bangcogon Resort and Restaurant is a family business run by the Soriano Family and was established on September 17, 2018. It was named Island and Beach Front Guesthouse for a year before changing it in compliance with government requirements and instructions. At the helm are Mety and Lorena Soriano, both professional and experienced, trained individuals in the fields of hospitality, management, and academe.
The year 2022 is a year of #Padayon. This is a Bisaya term which means "To Push Forward" regardless of the pandemic, typhoons, and all. We have steered clear towards better horizons. With our headstrong, unity, partnership, and affinity, we have achieved our dream of providing you, Our Dear Guests, new rooms and accommodation through the BRR-Annex Building where it offers Family and Barkada Rooms - more spacious and restful access after a day's worth of adventure. Also, Boat Rental and Diving services, too!

We are honest about taking pride in the tagline "Where you will stay at the center of South Cebu Wonders."

In the EAST, we are located at the very front of Sumilon Island. We have Boat Rental services that will take you from and to the island so you can enjoy the fine sandbar.
In the WEST, there are the Aguinid Falls and Kawasan Falls.
In the NORTH, we are only meters away from the Whaleshark Watching. We can go diving and meet these gentle creatures.
In the SOUTH, a few kilometers to Liloan Port bound for Dumaguete, Siquijor and Negros Oriental and Occidental.
At the CENTER of it all is the Bangcogon Fish Sanctuary. A 20-year preserved sanctuary where its diversity is incomparable. However, due to Typhoon Odette, the sanctuary was severely damaged, and it has taken some time to recover to its former glory.
In between, we are within walking distance of Sumilon Island Bluewater Resort, so if you plan to book their Day Tour and expenses may get a little higher, you can stay in one of our rooms and save!
Also, we are only a 20-minute drive from Tumalog Falls.
