The first thing that welcomed us to the city was the stench. It kept on for the following days. Also, there doesn't seem to be much to be see there. If you plan to stay there for longer than one night, use the days for trips, e.g. to Ryn or Mikołajki.

Walking distance to many places, ideal with children as it is not super big town, so there is no need to drive when you explore the town. And you can have shirt drives to other towns in the region for day trips!

The city is big enough to offer many things to do, such as water excursions, historical buildings, bike trips and other day trips by car. You can take nice walks around the lake and in the woods. The city has different ponds/ lakes within walking distance from the center. Lot of restaurants can be found as well as bars. The sandy local beach is lovely.

This is a very beautiful area with lakes forests and history. There are lots of nice walks/rides/drives to be had around the area. The water tower and the fort should be visited. Use this city as a base to visit some of the great nearby towns and villages.

I think Giżycko is a great place to visit in Poland in summer, spring. Views of ships, many cafeteries, huge lake in the city centre and many other lakes in the surroundings. You can choose from many boat rides around the Giżycko for a good price, Nature is very pretty here, many opptions for outdoor activities, most people speak english/german.
Very spacy apartment, light (there are 6 windows in the main room) and well equipped. A separated sleeping room with own balcony and comfortable beds. There was also a double-level bed for kids, which our son highly appreciated and even went to bed himself, without our efforts.
Located right across the beach and the main attraction area. Biedronka grocery is 100m away.
The location is awesome, it is very close to city center, also it is very quite. There is a bakery and couple mini markets just outside. The apartment is spacious, it has one double bed and two sofa beds. It was clean and the wifi worked very well. TV is huge :) There are lots of free parking spots really close to the apartment.
The house was really nice, clean, very well equipped, enough space for 5 people. Even houses are nearby each other but not a problem at all, enough pricy. Garden nice. Very good, quick and efficient communication with owner. Would really recommend for everybody. Good value for price and quality.
It was a great hostel…oh wait it’s not a hostel? It’s a hotel? Then it’s ok. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good. Lake view is nice. Looks like during the summer this would be a fun, easy place to take a family.
Everything was perfect :). Nice big flat. Well equipped, clean and in perfect location. Big terrace, free parking spaces. Close to lake, restaurants and shops.
