If you want to travel to Hel and spend time more actively,...
If you want to travel to Hel and spend time more actively, there are only 2 places to consider. The rest is either too small to do anything (Kuźnica, Chałupy) or too big-city vibe (Władysławowo). So you can consider either Jastarnia or Hel and I'm honestly not sure which one is better. Jurata was also really nice, but Jastarnia was better (bigger, more things to do, but also still cosy).
Hel city had more activities (like lighthouse) but from Jastarnia you can go anywhere (eg electric scooters) and to get out from Hel it's a nightmare. Too small trains, not everyone can get onboard, last train 9:10PM. No modern taxis (apps) and regular taxis are not taking pets and costs 10zł/1km, what is super expensive even in Warsaw. I really thought I'll sleep on the train station because I couldn't get to my hotel. Horrible experience. On contrary in Jastarnia there are public transport options (scooters) and you can go either west or east, so easier to get to various areas. In my opinion it's the best city to spend most time in and just visit neighbouring cities.

Jastarnia on Hel is one of most wonderful little towns at the polish baltic coast.
The beach is beautiful, with white sand and a fantastic ocean.
There is forest and beach on one side of the half Island and the Danzig Bay on the other.

The holiday season surprisingly did not start yet.
The holiday season surprisingly did not start yet. Beaches are great, a lot of places for sports but cold weather kept us out of water abd there was no restaurant we could enter with our dogs nor we could order a delivery.
The location was perfect, very close to the beach and restaurants. We had a great time. Very nice host, easy to find, clean, had small kitchen which was very helpful. Host gave us a bottle of Proseco to welcome us, which was nice. It was helpful to have coffee, coffee machine, salt, sugar, shower soap ect. You can walk everywhere, no need to use the car unless you want to drive to Gdansk or other near by places. It was 4 of staying, 2 people in the room with 2 twin beds and 2 in one queen bed.
We stayed in the 35m2 apartment located on the ground floor. It was spacious enough to accommodate a family of 2+2. All you need in the apartment was there and it was brand new. The closet next-door where the heating facilities are helped dry my wetsuits and surfing gear. We stayed in mid May (off season) with not that many neighbours around though. Will definitely come back.
The location is awesome, it is really 5 minutes walk to the beach, also there is a forest between building and the beach where you can walk. Stuff was really friendly and helpful when needed, we were provided with cribs upon request and feeding hairs as an addition.
Everything was as mentioned in the description, the room was nice and clean, personal was nice to us even though they do not understand english. The hotel is in perfect location near city centre, but it was very quiet there also. We were very happy to stay there.
Nice place, very helpful receptionist, which borrow us for free children seat, bathtub, bed etc.
Non-stop shop across the road.
New accomodation with 2WCs, washing machine, airco, garden - great pleasure to stay there.
Enough space for 4 adults and 2 children.
There was no problem in 1 day long last-minute booking.
The host was very friendly, professional, and vigilant.
Even though we didn't use the kitchen, it was an interesting solution to open a professional space and equipment to the guests.
We stayed here for two nights in the hostel room. Everything was great, clean, staff were very nice and helpful. Good food and drinks at the bar/restaurant. Beach was just a few minutes away.
For this standard the price was excellent. Little far to the shared bathroom, but everything was clean and tidy. shared space betweem rooms - very cool for students :) very close to the beach
We rented rooms there as whole Jastarnia was sold out. It’s a decent three star place, don’t expect marble floors but the rooms are really cozy and for the price it’s really a good value
