Best breakfast I've had in ages. The place is by the lake, it has it's own atmosphere and is very comfortable. The dinner they offer for a few zlotys was also amazing. I had a great stay even if the weather wasn't ideal that day.
PolandJust about everything! The owners were very open, welcoming and always helpful, the rooms - as in fact the whole Stara Szkoła - were cozy, comfortable, clean! Breakfast had all you could ask, the dinner we could order was delicious, and the location - lake just across the road, quiet, countryside - a dream. The attached little gallery showing paintings of painters who come from surrounding countries was a lovely addition. Definitely coming back when possible.

BelarusIt was a very special and wonderful stay at Stara Szkoła. The old house is beautifully renovated with a lot of lovely details you discover if you look carefully. We loved the cat wandering about the house. The food was fantastic and especially for me as a vegetarian. Ania specializes in vegetarian and vegan food, so every morning for example there was a different delicious vegan spread at the breakfast buffet. We ordered nearly every evening the extra dinner offer and where never disappointed. Our room and bed was very comfortable and with a nice view into the garden and a big stork nest (which was empty to that time, we where too late for the storcks). The surrounding nature is wunderful, and especially nice is the Harsz lake right next to the hotel. We had some great trips to other lakes and places but staying at Stara Szkoła made our restful holiday just perfect. Highly recommended!
