Our house is in the village of Plutycze in north-eastern Poland (Podlasie) within an hour's drive from the Bialowieza forest. It is a traditional wooden cottage with a tiled stove and original furniture, yet equipped with all modern amenities (central heating, hot water, fully equipped kitchen, washing machine). There is also a library with books and guides about the Podlasie region, a chest with toys and board games for children, as well as an original guide to the region, in which we described interesting places in the area. Plutycze itself is a gem of traditional wooden architecture. The village is surrounded by forests, meadows, fields and rivers (Narew, Orlanka), making it a perfect place to explore the region and discover its unique nature, culture, cuisine and architecture. The place is also good for cycling, kayaking and birdwatching.

The village is located in the centre of the Podlasie region, making it a very convenient place to explore North-Eastern Poland. Places such as the Bialowieza Forest, Narew and Biebrza National Parks, Tykocin, Drohiczyn, the Land of Open Shutters, Białystok or Ciechanowiec can be reached within an hour drive by car. The closest town of Bielsk Podlaski is a 20-minute drive away from Plutycze. Some of the nearby attractions include: rope park in Doktorce (5 km away) - high rope course where you can spend the entire day enjoying various outdoor activities; the Narew river (3 km away) - swimming, kayaking, the Stork village in Pentowo near Tykocin; Ziołowy Zakątek / Herbal Corner in Koryciny; walks, mashroom and berry picking in forrests surrounding the village. Plutycze can be reached by train from Warsaw or Białystok (train station Strabla is located 3 km from the village, a pleasant 40 mins walk by road leading mostly through the forest.
