We enjoyed our stay at Alaia Surf Lodge a lot. Susi is a nice and helpful host and easy to reach. We had the Nalu room with two comfortable single beds. The kitchen is well equipped; there is a huge sofa, a very nice balcony to have your breakfast on with view of the left side of 1 km distanced Ribeira d'Ilhas beach. Also we made use of the garden. The house in general is oriented towards surfers but not too cliché, just right and with helpful facilities like surf rack and garden hose. We especially enjoyed staying out of downtown, in a down-to-earth neighboorhood with local feeling; but in walking distance to Ribeira d'Ilhas beach (3 min by car). Anyway, for staying here we'd recommend coming by car, if you want to be fast and flexible to reach the many different surf spots in the area.

The place was absolutely amazing! The apartment is beautiful, nicely equipped with everything one could need and more, there are only three rooms in total so 6 people in total who can stay at the same time, which made it a quiet and simply great place to be for me. There is a beautiful path along the coast, which starts at the closest beach and one can walk it for 2 hours - that was my personal highlight.

Very nice location for a quiet stay. Close to a major surf spot (walking distance 10min) and a very nice little town where you have a shop, cafés and great local restaurants. Susi was a very good host with lots of local tips and she helped me out with all of my questions. The accommodation was spotless and the beds are very comfortable. The rooms are spacious and bright. The common area is a nice place to relax and the kitchen has everything you need. Susi speaks perfect English and also German. She also said she will offer Relaxation Massages in the future in-house! All in all a great experience. Thank you Susi.

Very warm welcome from Susi who knows how to make you feel at home! The house is impeccably well kept and clean and is just a stone's throw from the breaks and Ericeira center just off the main road but in quiet residential surroundings. I'll definitely be back.
