Rooms were nice and clean. Staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast had lots of options. The pools and rooftops were nice as well.

Staff is super helpful and friendly in the dining area, the front desk, wellness center and housekeeping. We loved our stay so much and wanted to extend our trip one extra day. The front desk service exceeded our expectations! The staff truly cared for us and tried/was able to accommodate our wish on such a busy fully booked weekend. We can't wait to come back to visit the island and stay here again! Thank you to the team for making it such a comfortable and memorable stay.

GermanyThe hotel was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and very well appointed. Our studio apartment was lovely with plenty of space, good facilities, a large comfortable bed and a lovely balcony overlooking the pool bar and with a sea view. Also the staff were very helpful, especially Patricia from Reception and Humberto in the dining room, and the location made it easy to get into central Funchal. All in all it was a very enjoyable experience and we will return at some point in the future.

Renovated in 2018, the 4-star Hotel Alto Lido is located in Funchal’s prime area – Lido, 1.6 mi from the city center. It offers an indoor and an outdoor heated swimming pool as well as a pool for children and Spa facilities.Hotel Alto Lido includes modernly decorated rooms, suites and studios with frontal or side se views. Each accommodations is equipped with a flat-screen cable TV, a private bathroom with shower and hairdryer, air conditioning, telephone, safety deposit box and free WiFi. Studios have fully equipped kitchenette.
On site, guests can choose among 3 restaurants. The Flôr de Sal restaurant is a buffet restaurant on the ground floor and serves local specialties. On the 1st floor, The Tale offers an ample veranda with sea views and a carefully prepared à la carte menu. Linha de Água offers light meals and salads by the outdoor pool. In addition, guests may enjoy live music and a cocktail at the 360 bar.
Guests have a gym and cardio-fitness facilities at their disposal as well as a sauna and a Turkish bath. There are 2 conference rooms with capacity for 80 and 100 people, a laundry service and a games room. Private shuttle service to the center of Funchal is available 4 times per day. Funchal International Airport is a 20-minute drive away.
