Nice little apartment, suitable for 4 people, spacious terrace on the 3rd floor next to the second bedroom. We were greeted with a basket of food, which was a pleasant surprise. You can easily park your car in the free lot next to the apartment.

Location was chosen to be outside town centre, but within 40 minutes walk of restaurants. Sea views from the balconies. Kitchen was very well equipped and good appliances. Air conditioning in all rooms was great. Bedrooms light and airy. We were pleasantly surprised when we returned one afternoon mid-stay to fresh towels and beds made and a hand written note later with a bottle of wine. Non white towels for visiting thermals pools essential and provided. Beware not to wear anything light when visiting - Furnas visit ended with bright orange legs where sun cream attracted the minerals. White t-shirt and underwear similarly affected, but it washed out at home

Just off the main street which leads to downtown PDL, the location was excellent. A quick 5 minute drive to PDL, Populo, Lagoa all close by! Parking was very easy since you didn't need to park on the street and checking in also very simple. The house has everything needed to cook meals and had a great deck from the master bedroom for drinks or lounging. We did have an issue with the water heater but Hugo was right over to fix the issue immediately. Unfortunately the unexpected can happen, but it was Hugo's quick response which kept this from being a negative

We had a great time in Sao Miguel. The apartment is very nice and spacious, just as pictured in the photos. It is a great base for exploring the island. There was an unexpected incident with the alarm system, however, the host handled the situation very well. Thank you! :-)
