We booked really last minute and the owner was still able to meet meet us. Compliment for that! It's a cozy house in a really quiet area. Really good for a stop on our way to Lisboa from Porto!
NetherlandsRelaxed, in a small location like we needed, with lots of stuff in the house for kids to play. Amazing breakfast. Attention from the hosts was impeccable for every detail and they even left slippers for us to walk comfortably in the house! Restaurant and sight seeing tips were also very convenient. We had an amazing time in the house and visiting the region.

Maison ancienne caractéristique de villages portugais en milieu rural. La cuisine dispose de cheminée permettant de préparer comme autrefois les repas mais dispose aussi de tous les ustensiles d´aujourd´hui. Les chambres sont climatisées et le séjour dispose d´un poèle pour passer agréablement les soirées d´hiver. La cave est décorée d´outils agricoles utilisés par mes grands-parents. Belles vues depuis les chambres sur le paysage alentour.
J´ai quitté la Normandie pour venir vivre auprés de mes parents et grand-parents. Je m´y suis trés bien adapté. À présent, nous sommes prêts á recevoir tous ceux qui viennent des grandes villes et du stress quotidien. Je cultive quelques fruits comme la chataigne, la figue,la framboise, la mûre et le raisin grâce à un climat méditerranéen favorable.
Notre village de montagne, avec ses plantations d´eucalyptus, pins et chênes-lièges est situé dans le "Arouca-Géoparc": zone protégée disposant des nombreux chemins de randonnées balizés selon leurs degrés de difficultés et permettant de découvrir la faune et la flore locale. C´est aussi une multitude de "Géosites" classés par l´Unesco comme la "Serra da Freita" et les "Passadiços do Paiva". Sans oublier notre gastronomie locale comme le veau au four d´Arouca, la morue de différentes façons, les sardines accompagnées de vin provenant du Douro ou de l´Alentejo.
