A magnificent authentic country villa located in the peaceful and welcoming surroundings of a traditional Douro village in the heart of the Douro Valley, just 90 minutes from Porto. At Casa Castedo do Douro there is plenty to enjoy. The 12m x 6m (39ft x 19ft) private swimming pool, with a dedicated children’s area, is surrounded by 500 square metres of beautiful garden and green lawn where you can laze to the sounds of birdsong and the bells of the village church before taking a short stroll under the pergolas of ancient vines. If you prefer, you can relax in our peaceful lounge or simply sit and admire the beautiful landscape around the property. Also provided for your comfort at the house, at no additional charge, is wi-fi access, satellite TV, a snooker table, hair dryer, iron, pool towels, barbecue, parking, heating, fully equipped kitchen and safe. Every morning, during your stay, you can have a delicious breakfast. You can also book private excursions tailored to your requirements. Welcome to my familiar country villa, in Douro Valley. I´ll be your Portuguese Host, during your stay at my property. I´ll do my best in order you can have a wonderful stay at Douro Valley. I can speak fluently english and spanish (also regular French). I´´ll be expecting you, Cheers!
Casa Castedo do Douro is very well located, near the most exciting places and locations at the heart of Douro Valley : St. Mateus Palace (Vila Real) at 30 minutes. ; beatiful village of Lamego at 30 minutes / 30 kms aprox., traditional village of Pinhão (wine farms, Douro river and famous tiles of ancient railway station) at 20 minutes /15 kms, famous village of Favaios at 10 minutes / 8 kms, traditional village of Tua at 10 minutes / 8 kms, prehistoric rock carvings at Foz Côa at 1 hour / 90 kms aprox and International Douro Park at 40 minutes / 30 kms aprox.
