Casa das Almas is a rehabilitation of an islands’ typical rural house. Please, allow us to invite you for a tour. Shall we begin by the ground-floor, where there is a double room, a cosy living-room and a winter garden -with a peaceful view over the nature outside. At the first floor, you may find another double-room and a single one, a fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable living room and a bathroom. And there’s more on the outside: a beautiful glass shed that stands right next to a handy ready-to-use barbecue, offering you at the same time a place to have a pleasant meal and a chance to experience a sense of belonging to pure nature. And now, the best we could ever offer you for your house vacation: true nature. The house is surrounded by natural woods, which embrace trees like Eucalyptus, Japanese cedars, Picconia azorica (locally known as White wood), Laurel trees (Laurus azorica), and Erica azorica – being these last 3 endemic species. Within the houses’ area, you may delight yourself with an amazing garden and orchard having different breeds of trees and flowers. All of this to welcome you at the Azores in the best possible way!

Casa das Almas is located in “Lugar das Almas”, and is about 3 km from the centre of the parish of Santo Espírito where you can find: - 1 museum. - A picturesque baroque church. - 1 restaurant, 3 coffee-shops and one grocery store. - Beginning right next to the house, a walking trail goes all the way untill the bathing area of Maia. Casa das Almas is 14 km away from Vila do Porto, the main village of the island of Santa Maria, with banks, post office, restaurants, coffee-shops, library, stores, pharmacies and hospital. And 17 km far from the airport and the port of Vila do Porto, where you can find the marina, the nautical club and several diving and adventure companies.
