Excellent breakfast, most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, billiard room, the cave bar room. Beautifully restored building from the 1700's in the family for 11 generations. Gracious hostess. We stayed an extra day.

The ambiance and cosines of the old family house makes it a special stay. The host and personnel took care of us as a family member. The rooms are beautifully decorated, charming. The living room with tea/ coffee available 24/7 and home made cake. ;) The quarto das jogas made you live in the house! Obridago♥️

We have traveled the World and found this accommodation to be among one of our best accommodations yet! It absolutely exceeded our highest expectations. It is a unique, exquisite property. The casa was amazing; The sitting room (part of our suite) was originally built in the 16th century. Parts of "Casa" are from the 18th century, but somehow they managed to give all the comforts of modern life! The garden with swimming pool was peaceful; our room was perfect (one of our best night sleep); and we both overindulged at breakfast! The baked goods and rice pudding were simply delicious. Everything was fresh. Breakfast had so much to offer; meat, cheeses, yogurt, granola, breads, and on and on. The owner and staff were outstanding.

Breakfast offered many options, including fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, cheeses, breads and rolls, homemade cake, hard boiled eggs and more. The dining areas is in the original house and very nice. The owner was hospitable and helpful. We think it's a great value to stay in an 18th century house with many original pieces for the price. It's also central and easy to walk to restaurants.

We loved our stay at Casa das Orbas in Manteigas! First off all, the house itself - wow! It looks (and feels) less like a hotel and more like a 18th century mansion, with a lounge with a fireplace and a huge dining table upstairs. The rooms are big and accupted with all that you need on your travels, and off course the beds are so very comfy! We had dinner and breakfast there and enjoyed it a lot. The host was very charming and welcoming and helped us to get around in the Park the Serra de Estrela. Highly recommended! You won't regret it!
