The owner is a very nice person and always willing to help, the house is located in a beautiful place especially if you like to be in contact with nature. The breakfast is wonderful, home made and delicious.

Great place, in the mountains close to Porto. Nice places to visit close by, such as Porto, also small villages, the river Douro, the mountains, et cetera. Warm welcome. Swimming pool in the garden. Nice breakfast, every morning. Great boat trip on the river.

We really enjoyed the wonderful surroundings with many possibilities to hike and explore. The beautiful garden and the pool were great to relax and in 15 minutes you could reach lovely swimming spots at the river. We really recommend this place if you want to enjoy nature.

Beautiful area. We were upgraded to a much better villa on arrival which was lovely. Breakfast was delicious and so much of the food was homemade and made of home grown products. Communication was easy and Maria Dolores was a welcoming and instructive hostess.

Super friendly and helpful owner Maria! We had very cozy and clean room in old stone house. After arriving Maria served us glasses of port wine what was very kind. At morning, tasty homemade breakfast was waiting us at terrace with good view. We was there only for one night but place is worth to stay much longer. If sometimes we coming back to this region we definitely choose Maria's place to stay.

Wonderful breakfast served on deck with breathtaking views. Wifi great. Maria is an incredible host so friendly and welcoming and very knowledgeable about the area and what is available.The room we stayed in was very quaint with lovely bathroom and spotlessly clean. Loved our stay. Thankyou!

Maria, the host, couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome. She couldn't do enough for us, it was a wonderful experience. We felt almost like family! Food was good. The location is beautiful, very peaceful, wonderful views of the Hills and River Valley. Room was basic, but very cosy, Swimming Pool was nice (but cold, as expected).

This place is a real gem. Maria was a fantastic host and did everything she could to make our stay enjoyable. Her breakfasts on the terrace were fabulous and the location was unbeatable. It is set in beautiful shady gardens and you can walk down to the Bestanca river to go bouldering. We also went on Maria's husband's boat on the Douro. Highly recommended.
