Louisa is a most attentive host, nothing beyond her willingness, she bought in items specially for our breakfasts and constantly asked if there was anything else we needed. The house is a design dream, luminous and spacious combining a tasteful mix of traditional pieces of the area and high-end designer furniture, the colour schemes are pastels with splashes of eye-catching brilliance. The rural exterior belies what you discover upon stepping over the threshold.

Within International Douro Nature Park, Casa dos Edras is a restored country house in Aldeia Nova village, 3.4 mi from Miranda do Douro. It offers free WiFi and a green lawn with seating areas. Preserving the original structure of the property, each room is individually decorated and features a private bathroom. They all include a flat-screen cable TV and garden views.
