Casa Pita or Casa dos Pitas has been one of Caminha’s most distinctive landmarks for more than 350 years. Built between 1649 and 1652 this urban palace has been classified as a Cultural Heritage Building and belongs to the same family ever since.
Casa Pita offers accommodation to groups up to 12 people wishing to enjoy high standard exclusive vacation and is available for a minimum booking of 5 nights (please check availability table). The 310 m2 accommodations are in two comfortable and elegant separate areas: the Apartment, the Tower and the Studio. The Apartment, with gardens and Arga Mountains view, has two complete suites with a double-bed each, two two-bedroom rooms, one bathroom, a dining/living room, and a complete kitchen. It hosts 8 guests. The four stories Tower provides a different and quite vertical lodging experience with its impressive belvedeere 360⁰ view of Caminha, the Minho river and the Arga Mountains. It has two suites, one of them has a double bed, the other has two beds, complete kitchen with a small dining area and a cozy living room downstairs with a French window that opens to the garden. The Tower hosts 4 guests. Both apartments are equipped with Wi-Fi network and cable widescreen TVs.
Placed at only a few meters distance from Caminha’s main tourist attractions, restaurants, bars, shops, markets, pharmacies, medical clinics, hairdressers, or banks, this ancient palace was built at the village’s main square. A 3km drive will lead you to countless and breathtaking beaches of a 25km Atlantic Ocean coastline. Our guests are welcome to enjoy the 4.000 m2 of private lawns and gardens and patio, an outdoor safety fenced swimming pool and support facilities with kitchen, one bathroom and a jasmine shaded lunch area. By the three apartments there is also an independent lawn with a barbecue, a dining area up to 16 guests and a toilet.   Inside the facilities you will also find free private car parking, washing machine and a clothesline.  There are two different entrances to the property: cars will access through a gate at number 31 of Avenida Manuel Xavier, in the back of the garden; guests and bicycles can use the front door leading to Caminha’s main square, at Rua da Corredoura, number 1.
