Ideally situated in the city center within walking distance to everything. Rental cars and busses are nearby if you want to explore the island. Breakfast of locally sourced fruits, breads, and more was amazing and waiting downstairs every morning. Antonia, Pedro, and their adorable dog Trincas will make you feel welcome!

United States of AmericaThe host was so kind, and we enjoyed the company of his puppy during our visit. the location was central - we parked our car in the nearby free lot our host told us about - and we walked everywhere in town. he also highlighted some wonderful restaurants for us to try. our room was sparkling clean and opened up to the gardens below, it was very quiet, and the breakfast of local jams, breads and cheeses was lovely. our favorite stay in the Azores.

United States of AmericaFabulous location! Pedro and Maria were excellent hosts. They put a spread out every morning of home-made jams, breads, cheeses, ham, two different kinds of butter! Great coffee and juice. Pedro can help direct you in Ponta Delgado, around Sao Miguel and the other islands. He has created maps of the area for sight seeing and restaurants.

United States of AmericaNobody knows Sao Miguel like Pedro! Prepare yourself for the BEST local tips you will ever receive from a host. He has maps with recommendations for every part of the island, which he'll gladly print out and talk you through over breakfast. Breakfast, by the way, is incredible! Everything is fresh from the local farmer's market. Our favorite part of the day was sitting on his beautiful outdoor patio, sipping coffee, and chatting with Pedro and other guests. (Ask him to tell you some jokes about Terceira and Algarve, hehe.) This was our second visit to Sao Miguel, and thanks to Pedro, we found new favorite restaurants and places. Casa da Cidade is hospitality at its best.

Each wall, each floor board resonates with the history of the Island that is interwoven with Family history.
The dreams of independence, of a better and more autonomous life, are nourished by an enlightened liberalism, an educated, and, paradoxically, traditional, cultured rebellion.
This house was bought by the owner's great-grandfather to house his daughters with their families in a sense of family clan, union and affection that were dear to him.
This sense of family, of home, transpires in the decoration, in the careful way that the house has prepared to receive guests / friends, in the smiles ripped from who opens the door and sits at the table. All the furniture has a history that is that of who lives or lived in this house, those who have been restored reveal that they were in the good taste and modernity of the current owner.
From its magnificent photographs, which mark all the spaces of this house, to the magnificent snacks that take us to a world of flavors, which being simple are therefore very difficult and that hold us as if we had never experienced the True tastes of things.
