“My boyfriend and I stayed at this ovely small house behind a larger house on a small farm just outside of Arouca for a few days in late autumn. The hosts were amazing--great communication and prompt response to everything we needed. Also, we were invited to take any veggies we wanted from the farm, and the caretaker delivered us fresh eggs for our breakfast. The place is stylishly decorated with both modern and antique Portugese accents, and was super cozy with the addition of heaters to combat the chilly temperatures at night. The view to the village and surrounding mountains also was beautiful, and the large windows in the house allowed us to enjoy that view even when we weren't outside. It's very peaceful and quiet at night so allowed us to relax and rest well. All in all a great stay, and I would totally stay there again. We even lingered an extra night because we enjoyed it so much. Highly recommended for visiting the beautiful Arouca Geopark and Passadicos de Paiva.”
