It’s a converted convent so very unique. The staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. As we were a group of walkers they helped with the moving of our luggage to and from the accommodation. Breakfast was great.
United KingdomThe reconverted convent is not a hotel like the others. With only 9 rooms, in a unique setting, both in the mountain and with a view of the sea, it is full of history and makes you feel like you are coming back to a childhood home, but one from your dreams. It allows you to create memories and opens up possibilities for memories in many other places nearby—easy access through the forest to all the old palaces of Sintra, 5 minutes away driving from Cabo da Roca, and 3 minutes away from the best restaurant we ate at in Portugal (Refugio da Roca). I already dream to come back.

United States of AmericaThe view was terrific, and the staff bent over backwards to accommodate any reasonable request. We got some great exercise in walking up and down the steps to our room - which was the furthest out. There was a lovely sitting area in the main area, where we were able to meet other travelers. The room that we had had a number of elevation changes, and head-knocker doorways that even a short guy like myself could get in trouble with. The drive in was exciting! The first time down and up the road into the hotel area was challenging, but we quickly got used to it. There is a small bar/restaurant up the hill, with a terrific view. A great place to relax and have a bite to eat. The hotel location made it easy to get to Sintra without dealing with all of the "other" tourists! It's a lovely compound, with a friendly dog, some independent cats, a duck pond, swimming pool, nice breakfast, but again, the staff was terrific!
