The location and building were wonderful. Loved the used of wool on the interpretation of the uses in the hotel and rooms. Very unique and beautifully done. The breakfast were varied and had a lot of choice and they accommodated my gluten and lactose free intolerances brilliantly. The staff were very efficient. We were also able to walk out of our hotel onto a walking route which took us to a look out point ascending 700 metres. This area is great for walking and tranquility.

A new hotel in a superb spot overlooking the town and valley. On the site of a former wool factory, the owner moved his manufacturing facility and built this wonderful hotel in a modern new building, looking very much like a modern art gallery. We loved the link to the past through the use of fabric throughout the hotel that has been made in the new factory. The lampshades, room numbers, furniture, bed coverings etc etc are all made in the new factory - unique and delightful. We have stayed in a lot of hotels around the world and this is definitely one of our absolute favourites! Lovely rooms, with wonderful valley views, the best bathroom we’ve ever had, large public spaces inside and out. Very good indoor swimming pool, small sauna, table tennis, all with a lovely little town in the mountains on the doorstep. The staff could not have been more helpful.

It was all amazing. It had a great location. The hotel has excellent access for people with reduced mobility. The room had plenty of space as did the bathroom. The view from the room was breathtaking. The staf was very friendly and very helpful. The decor in Burel was fantastic. It was possible to pay a visit to the factory of Ecolã given by the owner Mr João. I will certainly repeat the experience. Thank you for everything.
