The staff was friendly, helpful, and always available. The rooms are cozy, modern, and provided all we needed for our stay. Although located in the tourist district, we did not experience any disturbing noise in the evenings and slept well. The location is central to a lot of tourism activities and the metro station is around the corner. Our kitchenette came stocked with milk, eggs, fruit, and yogurt. We had a very pleasant stay and have no reservations about visiting again.

Out of all the hotels we stayed at in Portugal, this one made us feel the most at home! Our apartment was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in in a hotel. We loved that the kitchen came fully stocked for us to cook breakfast. The orange juicer and plentiful oranges were a particularly nice surprise. The historic building is beautifully redecorated with all the modern amenities you need and really nice touches in a very convenient location right in the heart of the touristy parts of the city, so everything was walkable. The staff were really nice and helpful.

I made the right choice in selecting this hotel. The staff are excellent and helpful; they helped me find a better room for my wife to be more comfortable with a king-size bed. Filipa, George, Iris and another person were fantastic, making our stay more comfortable. The rooms are generally small but still cozy. Making your breakfast was new to us, but we made it work. The rooms are clean, they had an espresso machine as well, and the staff ensures they are. This hotel is located strategically for anyone within walking distance of food, shops, and the center. You are also close to the metro if you want to go anywhere in Portugal; going to Sintra was easy, being close to the hotel.

Location was close to everything! It is on a side street, one street over from the Main pedestrian Street of attraction leading to the Arch & water at one end and Rossio Square on the other. So the location was the best of both worlds — quiet yet also in the heart. Also the staff were absolutely amazing! They always provided what we needed and did it immediately. Since it is a boutique, you get personal service and it is staffed 24 hours a day. Which meant if at 11pm we needed something, all we needed to do was call down to the front desk and they provided it. The bed was comfortable. We had daily housekeeping and could exchange our towels whenever we wanted. We controlled the temperature in the room once we figured out the controls. There was an elevator to our room — no need to carry luggage up stairs. All in all, we definitely recommend Dare Lisbon House.

The hotel is a remodeled old apartment building in the central Baixa district. Very close walking to many sites in the old town. For breakfast they delivered freshly baked bread and a sweet pastry at 8:00 am. Delicious! The staff was superb. They provide a free glass of wine in the evening, which was really nice.
