Super lovely place. The owner and all staff are extremely kind and helpful. Fantastic breakfast. Since my mum had issues with all the stairs the friendly owner accommodated for us to cancel the last nights free of charge. We appreciated that a lot and were really sad to leave because it is such a lovely place.

The small scale of the place, the view of the ocean and sky, the quiet atmosphere and the amazing attention to detail in the superb and very artistic array of breakfast with local fruits and always a little homemade treat. wonderful, polite and attentive staff, room always cleaned whilst having breakfast, so quite unobtrusive.

Where should I start ? It is not a big place so it is very calm and quiet The room was spacious and spotless clean, bed was very comfortable. Breakfast is so delicious and various. There is a wonderfull pool with excelent jacuzzi and amazing view (beutiful sunrise and sunset) But above all it is the great staff Everyone is so nice and welcoming and yet very professional And Petra !!! she makes you feel at home (already missing you) No way I won't be back !!

This Escarpa hideaway is what it says, a complete hideaway and in a stunning location. We are coming back we have fallen in love with Madeira and this place. The staff are Amazing and so is Petra providing excellent service with a fantastic breakfast too. The pool is just epic with views that are breath taking. Please visit.

It's a stunning location exactly as pictures show. The breakfast spread was delicious every day and staff were very attentive. It's secluded with amazing views and the peaceful surroundings. Each room has good size small fridge and freezer you can stock as needed. The hotel grows its own bananas, passion fruit and these are often with breakfast. The sunsets and star gazing were beautiful.
