The staff here is incredibly hospitable. The garden is stunning, and the rooms are not only clean but also pleasant. The highlight, though, is the jacuzzi in the pineapple plantation – it's truly out of the blue. Whether in the soft evening light or the natural morning sunshine, it's a delightful experience. If I lived in Portugal, I would come here every weekend without hesitation. The overall charm and warmth of this place make it a perfect retreat.

Herdade do Ananás was a unique, beautiful stay with excellent facilities for a three night trip for my spouse and myself. The rooms were spacious and very clean, and it was nice to have a king size bed - in my experience, these are harder to come by in Europe. The grounds were beautiful with a very cool jacuzzi in one of their pineapple growing houses. There was ample parking, and the staff was excellent and accommodating. The breakfasts were fresh, delicious, and ample.

The grounds are lovely and our room was incredibly comfortable. The staff are amazing and the breakfast and dinners are excellent. I didn’t want to leave! They even left us a bag of snacks to take with us when we left for a really early flight. We will be back!

Amazing stay at an amazing hotel. Luis and Edgar were fantastic host. (they even offered their jackets that day when it was super cold and we wanted to go for a hike). Located within a pineapple greenhouse, you can smell the fragrance of the pineapples throughout the property. The indoor, heated jacuzzi inside a pineapple greehouse was the ultimate highlight. Sitting inside the jacuzzi at night...while hearing the sounds of the cicadas and smelling the fresh pineapples...what an absolute relaxing moment. The staff members also give a tour of the pineapple greenhouse as well as a special tasting at the end (and not just any pineapples...) Highly recommend to stay while spending time at Azores.

From the minute we booked our reservation the staff was in touch to ask about dinner reservations, dietary restrictions, food preferences. The property was beautifully manicured, the rooms were bright, decorated simply and elegantly. The beds were incredibly comfortable with simple clean linens. The breakfast was extraordinary with so many options of fresh juices, coffee, breads, cheeses, meats, local specialties, eggs prepared to order, pineapples from the property. All of this displayed in the the most appealing way. the hot tub was uniquely situated in one of the pineapple greenhouses. We would absolutely come back to Herdede do Ananás without hesitation.
