Our host was most welcoming to this most delightful place. The grounds are great and the ruins of the Cistercian Abbey are very atmospheric. The breakfast was a feast with home made jams and cake and local cheeses. It is a wonderful quiet corner of Portugal.

What a great place to chill while sipping a cold bottle of white wine after a day visiting the Douro Valley. The hotel is part of a beautiful ancient monastery. The garden and the swimming-pool are fantastic. So are the owners: Efficient, helpful and very friendly. Both always trying the make your stay more enjoyable. And don't miss the breakfast, absolutely delicious! (The home made jams are just fantastic!) Free parking in front of the house.

O que mais me surpreendeu foi a sua decoração com peças extremamente bonitas. De destacar também, o que é pouco comum ver-se em hotéis ou alojamentos de qualquer tipo, a biblioteca. Obrigatório visitar. O espaço exterior também é muito agradável.

Liten pärla på landet, men nära stan. Välkomnande värdpar som gjorde allt för att man skulle känna sig som hemma-och de lyckades! Hit kommer vi gärna igen! Stora, fräscha rum. Mysigt kombinerat vardagsrum och lobby med öppen spis. Vacker matsal där vi blev serverade en riktig portugisisk måltid. Man behöver dock fråga när middagen serveras- den tillagas på begäran. Anländer man sent är det inte säkert det hinner ordnas.

O espaço é muito bonito e acolhedor. A decoração é fabulosa e a nossa filhota adorou o cantinho dos brinquedos. As pessoas são muito simpáticas. Numa das noites em que não estava nenhum restaurante aberto tiveram a gentileza de nos fazer o jantar mesmo avisando com pouca antecedência. A qualidade da comida confecionada é excelente.
