Just a wonderful experience, great scenery, very near Castelo Branco's castle (200m), top of hill with a great view. The room was ok, the swimming pool was just wonderful, and the rest of the facilities were very good. Definitely recommend a visit.

The only negative was that the physical location was very far out of the town. Although not much to see in Castelo Branco anyway.
The experience was very good. Good accommodations and good food. Attentive staff. Spectacular views from the restaurant and lobby areas.

At the reception, the 2 ladies didn't even look at me for several minutes. They talked to each other. When finally one of them bothered, they still continued talking to each other!! I find this very irritating, the least to say! Doesn't the staff get any training?? How to behave? I did not feel welcome at all. Did not expect this in Tryp hotel. Though I have had the same problem with other establishments in Portugal. AND I'm very polite myself. I wouldn't dream of behaving like this to guests! The food at the restaurant was, as usual in Portugal, tasteless. Pity.

The steam room and sauna had to be turned on by the attendant which necessitated walking through some hallway into the exercise room. The bed was a bit too firm, but not that bad. Be aware that to swim or hot tub you will need to wear a swim cap which they have for sale.

at 4* hotel I would expect a bit more luxurious feel to the bathroom, and a little bit better stocked mini bar. Other than that, nothing to complain about.
Excellent location with some spectacular views. Friendly, professional staff. Room was comfortable and large enough. The swimming pool/spa is a nice extra touch. Breakfast has loads of choice.

Rather old-fashioned bathroom. Although hotel was only partly filled, most customers (including us) were lodged in the aisle on the floor above the gym, which produced a penetrating unrestful sound up till 10pm. Dining à la carte is really not worthwhile: there is a buffet meal which is hopefully better value for money. The bar is almost nonexistent, due to lacking personnel. Breakfast was rather standard buffet. Many tables not available, because filled with dirty trays of former customers

The hotel looks like it is being updated bit by bit. The updates done so far were a terrible investment, the rooms got everything new but they still look like they are from the 80s. The swimming pool realy needs an update, it is not suitable for a 4star hotel. And the price was way too expensive considering the hotel conditions. Also the jacuzzi wasnt warm at all and barely does any "bubbles"

It was carnival time and the hotel was full of families with loads of children. The restaurant was closed unless you wanted to join the carnival party. Beds were hard. Bar staff were too busy trying to cope with the carnival buffet. Sink in our bathroom was cracked. Breakfast was good but very crowded. Bad timing on our part but we won't be going back!
Plenty of car parking places.
