Wow! We had such a relaxing and beautiful stay here. Monsanto itself was amazing and this hotel topped it off perfectly, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, lovely room with nice freebies (fruit, biscuits) and breakfast was such a treat, so much on offer! Even for a vegan diet. The bed was comfy, shower was good. Can’t wait to come again!

Hotel on several levels up the steep hillside, not too far from the main parking area which is a bonus in Monsanto though you may have to wait for the day trippers to go home. Good size irregular shape room with bright modern furnishings and good lighting, plus some nice touches with fruit and biscuits. The reception was genuinely welcoming and helpful. We also go a proper double bed not two single beds pushed together which often seems to pass as a double here. Nice veranda on the front where you could sit in the evening and look at the view. It was very quiet at night. Breakfast was a decent selection.

The location is great, right at the heart of old village. The hotel is comfortable and well maintained. There is a lovely common balcony with a beautiful view.

Location amazing. Staff very friendly. The WIFI had some sort of login screen, which for me didn't work. 4G signal very good so I was self sufficient. Be aware that streets are very narrow and steep, and parking is limited in the area of the hotel.

Beautiful views from the hotel and village but a steep climb up especially if you are cycling like us. Amazing rock formations and views around the castle. A nearby restaurant also has amazing views whilst you have dinner. Our bicycles were stored in the hotel. The breakfast was excellent.

Location is superb, we had a room to the rear which backed onto the street behind and an alleyway to the side, which was fine, but an upgrade to a room on the front would be worthwhile for a longer stay. Breakfast was generous and varied, the staff were super friendly and helpful, the room itself was spacious with a large bed and immaculately clean. Monsanto itself is otherworldly, well worth a visit, just hope it doesn’t get spoilt by an overdose of tourism.
