Overall a super lovely place! Great location, very green, comfortable and cozy house (even in winter because of the fireplace), beautiful grounds with lots of communal space, fun things to do around house (pool, giant chess, ping pong, swings, fire pit, walks, visit the animals) and near many beautiful towns and beaches to visit. Friendly and helpful host family. One of the original locations in the area. Loved it as a couple 12 years ago and as a family of 4 in 2019.
PortugalFantastic location. Rudolfo, the host, was very hospitable and helpful, and pointed out some superb walks nearby (ask him for the Rota Vincenta map, a bargain at 15euros and offers 23 circular walks within 1hr). We did 6 and all were different. The outdoor space and pool were great. A great place to chill out.
United KingdomThis is an amazing place. Imagine a big ranch with squattered houses, green fields, animals around. So peaceful where you can enjoy the silence and the swimming pool. Beautiful beaches are only 15-20 minutes far away. Ask for the new wooden house if you can, it is a bit separated and has everything you need : kitchen, separate sleeping rooms, terrace, BBQ, and tranquility. The hosts are super nice, so are the dogs.
